List Notes is an offline-first notes app. Notes are personal, and we built the app around that: everything you write stays on your device. We do not create accounts, do not ask for your email, do not sync to any cloud, and do not ship any analytics or tracking SDK. The only data that leaves your device is what Google AdMob needs to serve ads — and AdMob never sees your notes.
If that’s all you wanted to know, you’re done. The sections below spell it out in detail.
com.dashfusion.listnotes)The following data is created and kept locally on your device. It never leaves the device unless you explicitly export or share it.
You can export your notes at any time via Settings → Back up notes (a JSON file containing your notes’ content and structure — attachments are not included in the backup file), and import them again via Settings → Restore from backup. The export features (note → PDF, table → spreadsheet) likewise generate files locally and hand them to the app you pick via the system share sheet — nothing is uploaded by us.
You can wipe everything by uninstalling the app — Android removes the local database and the private attachment copies with it.
We have no servers and no cloud storage. We cannot see, recover, or reset your notes — they are yours alone.
The app contains the Google Mobile Ads SDK. It shows an occasional full-screen ad when you close a note — never while you are writing or reading. Google may collect and process:
AdMob does not receive your notes, attachments, or preferences. Google’s handling of the data above is governed by Google’s own policies:
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via your device’s system settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
None. We don’t run any backend. We have no analytics SDK, no crash reporter that phones home, no Firebase, and no custom telemetry. We don’t log app usage — or note content — anywhere we can read it.
The app does not hold standing access to your location, contacts, microphone, photos, or files, and it sends no notifications. When you attach a file or restore a backup, the app uses your device’s own file picker and only touches the files you choose; attachments are stored as copies in the app’s private storage.
List Notes is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed for use under the COPPA framework. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we change the data we collect or the third-party services we integrate, we will update this page and bump the “Last updated” date above.
